Just finished building your first pond, huh? Boy, does that bring back some fond memories. Now it's time to buy your very first Koi. To help welcome you to the wonderful world of Koi Kichi, we are offering an unbelievable deal on tosai. If you're still trying to learn the terminology in this crazy life-consuming hobby, don't worry, we've all been there. The term "tosai" simply refers to Koi of less than a year old. Speaking from experience, we can tell you that nothing feels better than adding a few babies to your pond and watching them grow, evolve, and blossom into living works of art in the years ahead.

Our tosai are supplied to us directly from well known domestic and Japanese breeders. We try to group our tosai batches so they are approximately 50% Japanese imports and 50% domestic Koi. Most of the tosai you receive will measure between 4" - 6" in length, but some may measure as large as 8" or more. Varieties will vary from batch to batch, but we definitely try our best to mix things up a bit to help ensure you'll have a nice assortment of Koi to enjoy for years to come.

We also take special requests! So if you prefer a majority of your Koi be of a specific variety (kohaku, ogon, etc.), this can be done! A standard tosai mix may include kohaku, showa, sanke, chagoi, ochiba, ogon, asagi, hariwake, among other varieties. You may also see some gin rin and doitsus among the mix. If you prefer to have butterfly Koi tosai in your mix, just us know and this can be done. Otherwise, the tosai you receive will be standard fin only.

As you can see from the photos above, these are NOT un-culled batches of pond mutts that you can find anywhere. These are quality tosai of recognizable varieties that are supplied to us directly from well-known Japanese and domestic breeders.
